Basket of Biscornu: December

Последняя бискорню для проекта "Корзина бискорню" готова.
Она так же дополняет набор из пятиклинки и маленькой зигугу, все три штучки вышиты на одинаковой канве (темно-синяя аида) кремовыми нитками dmc rayon.

Here is my final December biscornu for the "Basket of Biscornu" project.The pattern comes from TGOS magazine, issue 23 (dec. 2007). It's rather small, only 2 inches, and it also completes my blackwork set of three peices (a 15-sided biscornu, a zigougou and a biscornu).

Materials used:
- 14 ct. navy Aida;
- dmc rayon floss;
- size 11 Czech beads;
- ribbon.

Basket of Biscornu: November

Эта ноябрьская бискорню меня порядком измучила, в основном из-за ниток.
Вышивалось по схеме из журнала "The Gift of Stitching".
Материалы:
Канва: 32ct. taupe Lugana
Нитки: rayon, pearlescent effects.
Бисер сиреневый 11/о и прозрачный 10/о
Лента
2 пуговицы-снежинки
4 бусины

I found the pattern for my November biscornu in "The Gift of Stitching" magazine, issue 46. I used 32ct. taupe Lugana and stitched with rayon and pearlescent effects dmc floss. Added some beads, ribbon, snowflake buttons and 4 bicone beads.

Basket of Biscornu: October

Подтягиваю долги. В пару к тюльпану сделала бискорню для корзинки. Схему перекраивала по мотивам дизайна "Betsy's Butterfly" от Elizabeth's Designs.
Надо когда-нибудь сфотографировать их рядом друг с другом. Задник из ткани.


Материалы:
- 28 ct. Lugana, цвет Angel Blush;
- нитки dmc, perle coton, Threadworx overdyed floss;
- бусины, бисер, пуговицы.

This biscornu and tulip from my previous post make a nice set. The pattern is based on the "Betsy's Butterfly" design by Elizabeth's Designs, modified to fit my desired size. The back is finished with fabric.

Materials used:
- 28 ct. Lugana, Angel Blush color;
- dmc, perle coton, Threadworx overdyed floss;
- beads, buttons.

Basket of Biscornu: August. "Lily Pond"

"Кувшинки"
По схеме "Lily Pond" от Elizabeth's designs.

Материалы: 28 ct. фисташковый лен от Zweigart; нитки DMC, бисер, 4 чармика.
Размер 9,5 см в диаметре.

Не совсем уверена, что бисерный край в данном цвете не лишний, но переделывать, скорее всего, не буду.

Basket of Biscornu: July. "Autumn Leaves"

Для "Корзинки" в июле была вышита бискорню от Elizabeth's Designs под оригинальным названием "Стрекоза", но в моем исполнении получились "Осенние листья".
Материалы: 28 ct. Apricot Linen by Zweigart; Threadworx cotton overdyed floss, DMC; ткань для задней стороны; 2 пуговицы.
Размер 10 см в диаметре.


For my July biscornu I chose a nice design by Elizabeth's Designs originally called "Dragonfly". But in my colour pallette it calls for another name - something like "Autumn Leaves", I guess. The back is green fabric with leaves print.

Basket of Biscornu: June

Для июня долго искала мотив и в результате остановилась на новогоднем, уж больно у нас жарко, хочется хотя бы в мыслях быть подальше отсюда.
В этой штучке воплотилась моя давняя мечта сделать второй квадрат из ткани. Чтобы стежочки легли ровно, пришлось изнутри проложить кусочком аиды - и дырочки, и дополнительная плотность (ткань очень тонкая).

This is my June Biscornu for the 'Basket of Biscornu' project.


Дизайн называется "A Holly Merry Christmas" от The Sweetheart Tree. Вышито на равномерке 28ct. antique white (как всегда, но теперь мне есть, где развернуться - вчера пришел заказ с тканюшками!). Украшено бисером, пуговичками и колокольчиками.
Забавно преобразилась рамочка в центре: она, конечно, была красивая и квадратная, но после стяжки стала странным ромбом.

This is a pattern by 'The Sweetheart Tree' called "A Holly Merry Christmas".
Stitched on 28ct. antique white evenweave with DMC, perle coton and metallic threads. Decorated with 11/o Czech beads, two nice buttons and 4 bells. Finished with a piece of fabric for the back side.
That's normal fabric and it is rather thin. So I lined it with a piece of Aida and benefited in two ways: it made the fabric thicker and gave me holes as a guideline, so I could backstitch nicely. I actually glued the two pieces together (the green fabric and the Aida) with stripes of Iron-on adhesive to be sure the fabrics won't slide. You can also use pins instead.

Корзина бискорню: май

"Lavender Biscornu" от The Sweetheart Tree.
Дизайн всем известный, вышивала, чем было. А был rayon (на сердечки хорошо пошел), бисер трех цветов и проч.
Обшивала бисером. Кисточки делала с упоением и удовольствием.
Размер 9-10 см.

My May biscornu for the "Basket of Biscornu" project is a beautiful design "Lavender biscornu" by 'The Sweetheart Tree'.
The moment I desided to stitch it, I knew I have to make the hearts rayon. I love the way they turned out. Stitched with DMC rayon, cotton, beads of different sizes and colors. Decorated with tassels and beaded edges. I espessially enjoyed making tassels. Finished size is 9-10 cm / 4 inches. The design is so luxurious, with all the beads glittering like gem stones. It's one of my favorites now.

И в качестве маленького анонса: к этой пухляшке в пару уже готова подушечка-маячок. Тоже с кисточками :)

I already finished a fob with this design, which I'll show very soon. And yes, there'll be more tassels.

Basket of Biscornu: April

Для "Корзины бискорню" в апреле у меня не получилось сделать ничего грандиозного, зато наконец-то сделала двуцветную кривулю (давно собиралась).
Изначальный кельтский узор у меня совсем затерялся в ленточках и бантиках :)

My April Biscornu for the "Basket of Biscornu" project is blackwork from "The Gift of Stitching" magazine (charts by Lynne Herzberg). I wasn't quite sure if it was a good idea to add ribbons and bows to a Celtic motif, but here they are together, and I like how it all turned out.
By the way, it's my first double-coloured biscornu, and since the colours are antique white and dark blue, I called the biscornu "Day and Night".
Stitched on 14ct. Aida with dmc and metallic floss.
Finished size 10cm (4 inches).

Basket of Biscornu: January, February, March

Участвую в "Корзине бискорню": каждый месяц планирую вышивать по одной бискорню и к концу года положить в воображаемую корзинку 12 разных красоток. Уже готовы три кривульки. Начну с самой новой.

I'm taking part in the "Basket of Biscornu" project and am going to stitch one biscornu each month, so that at the and of the year I end up with 12 different biscornus.

Март. В марте решила сделать пятиклинку-банурукотти. Схемы взяла в этом блоге - Stitch-creations. Нитки dmc Rayon, бисер двух оттенков.

March is the newest and the most difficult so far. This month it's a 15-sided biscornu called "banurucotti". The charts come from this blog - Stitch-creations. All 15 squares are different. Stitched on 14 ct. navy Aida with DMC Rayon floss (light-cream color). Each seam is trimmed with 11/o size Czech pearl beads of two shades.




Февраль. Дизайн Atalie. Нитки dmc Rayon, обшито бисером.

February biscornu is an Atalie design from her 12 months series. Stitched on 28 antique white evenweave with DMC Rayon floss, edges trimmed with pearl pale green Czech 10/o size beads. This one came out pretty big.



Январь. Схему нашла в журнале Gift of Stitching, но из-за моей глупой ошибки в размере пришлось ее менять, она не помещалась. Нитки dmc Rayon, oбшито лентой.

January biscornu comes from "The Gift of Stitching" magazine, December 2007 issue. Unfortunately, I made a mistake when cutting the fabric, so the whole pattern couldn't fit, and I had to modify it. Stitched with DMC Rayon floss, edges trimmed with gathered ribbon.
